Misbehaving mysql57-server

Normally the socket file is created under /tmp/
edit /opt/local/etc/mysql57/my.cnf and do the following:

Change:

>> socket   = /opt/local/var/run/mysql57/mysqld.sock

to

>> socket   = /tmp/mysqld.sock
