Goes back to the website issue ...
start at http://www.macports.org

try and find quickly the procedures involved in going from a working
MacPorts on 10.5 to 10.6

There's no search facility.

The "Home" page doesn't link directly to what is effectively a "hot
issue"
The "Installing MacPorts" deals with new installs and upgrading those
installs
The "Available Ports" doesn't deal (obvious really)
The "Documentation" (which goes to guide.macports.org) doesn't deal
with migrating
The "Support and Development" (which goes to trac.macports.org) does
have a "migration" link ... YIPPEE
The "Contact Us" again isn't designed to deal ... but does a link to
"Problems hotlist" ... but "migration" isn't covered there.
The "News" page doesn't have a link to Migration, yet surely osx 10.6
release would have counted as some sort of news if only to give an
opportunity for a "migration" link.

Also, you tend to have to know that "migration" is the keyword to look
out for.

Googling something like macports 10.6 upgrade
doesn't find any hits on macports.org apart from tickets for things
that didn't work.

Oh and while we're there ... what's the "Download" link do at the top
right of the pages?
When you're already on the
http://www.macports.org/install.php
page, it just sends you to the same page.
