 That fix does remove the offending patch. However, there is an additional
 problem:

    Undefined symbols for architecture ppc:
      "_getline", referenced from:
          _read_cookie in polkit_agent_helper_1-polkitagenthelperprivate.o
    ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture ppc
