Comment (by thetrial):

Yes, now that's the disadvantage. Without my +universal setup I can’t
(involuntarily) test anymore. Of course it would be nice if all +universal
things are right and go through. But maybe +universal is too obsolete?

We’ll see. Due to lots of ordinary things chaned to Macports, my »killing«
of /opt/local was not as easy as it could probabely be … zsh and sudo are
also via Macports. Maybe I should try the way of uninstalling with an »and
not« instead of erasing everything. It’s really tricky to get rid of all
+universal parts. As I saw libomp installs again as +universal from
scratch, though there is no declared +universal variant. Strange.

My final problem was then that I could not invoke a sudo tlmgr after a su
administrator anymore. So I guess I threw away a long-time ago trick with
my PATHs. Time will come and I’ll find out. I’m glad I could preserve a
wine, and that KeePassXC still builds and works. That was missing with
owncloud-client, so I use it as separate application, once built with
Macports. The one and only thing »aside«. And most of my needed things now
don’t have to be circuitously built.
