Yes, it shows two different versions of the db44-4.4.20 package,
which I assume means that the package was updated, and I upgraded to
the new one. The previous one is still installed, but not active. I
didn't understand the difference between installed and active before.

% port installed db44
The following ports are currently installed:
   db44 @4.4.20_0+darwin_8
   db44 @4.4.20_1+darwin_8 (active)

Things are more confusing with py-wxpython. It has three entries if
I do "port list installed":

py-wxpython @2.8.1.1 python/py-wxpython
py-wxpython @2.8.1.1 python/py-wxpython
py-wxpython @2.8.1.1 python/py-wxpython

All those entries show the same version. But, "port installed py-
wxpython" shows that the first one is actually a different version:

% port installed py-wxpython
The following ports are currently installed:
   py-wxpython @2.8.0.1_0
   py-wxpython @2.8.1.1_0
   py-wxpython @2.8.1.1_1 (active)

Bizarre. It gives the impression that the version output from "port
list installed" is not trustworthy.

Thanks for the explanations.
