XFree86 / XDarwin and change of hostname

maybe? X11 is dumb ... I would try it (or at least stop and re-start X).

I don't know of other ports that care about your hostname.

NetInfo did/used to care but I imagine that using the GUI to change  
the Computer Name takes care of that for you.
