Creating .pkg

That's right, just run it from the command line, there is no file in
the Applications folder.  This is the usual behaviour.  For some other
applications there WILL be an icon in the Applications folder, for
instance, gimp-app, but usually you just run from the command line.  I
think it would be pretty easy to make a little script that you can put
in the Applications folder that runs the program if you wanted.
