texlive install dies.

The format of the text you pasted is inconsistent with what you just wrote.

Some network issue, I too can never get high speed when using
macports.org server.

Try using another URI like
<http://flute.csail.mit.edu/texlive/texlive-fonts-extra-13989.tar.bz2>
