Problems w/ MacFUSE & SSHFS

Since the statement above horrified, me, since I am making a point of
using sshfs far more these days, I found the above link via google.
Macfuse works for me without problems , or so it seemed.

I respectfully request some clarification:  How can I determine it
'works for me' because the thread checking is off?
